Small groups are committed to creating a conversational environment where people can explore faith, build friendships & have fun as we pursue our mission to love God, love one another & serve the world. Small groups provide a network of support & care that helps us faithfully follow Jesus as we point our family, friends, neighbors & co-workers to Jesus.
We encourage every attendee & member at SCC to get connected to others through our small group ministry. Please stop by the Connections Bar to find out more about small groups, or find answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs) below.

Fall Small Groups
Grace [The One & Only]: Unique to the person & message of Jesus Christ, grace is simply God at work doing what we could never do. Nothing we can say or do can elicit more or less of the lavish grace of God. Grace is the essence of our Creator & the way to a personal connection with Him that lasts forever & the source of strength that enables us to walk in truth. The grace that is freely given cost the Son of God everything...and ignites within all who receive it a desire to live for the One who sets us free.
This group is led by Merry Popplewell & Linda Smith at 14 W. Broadway on Mondays @ 6:30pm.
Basketball Outreach: If you love playing basketball, join us here at the church on Monday nights starting in November. That the World May Know: Join us for the DVD-based Bible study That the World May Know with Ray Vander Laan. Ray has always believed that to more greatly understand & appreciate the Bible, one had to have a sense of the land & the culture from which it sprang. Biblical analogies & examples, while meaningful & helpful, were first meant to convey God's truth to particular people in a particular time & place. So the more fully we can appreciate those times & places, the more fully we can respond to the power of the Word. We’ll be studying The Early Church, Walk as Jesus Walked, The Christmas Story, The Mission of Jesus, The Easter Story & A Clash of Kingdoms.
This group is led by Jewels Dixon on Fridays @ 6:00pm at Walker Place (2216 N Riley Hwy, Shelbyville, IN 46176).

Not a Fan (Men’s Group): Fan: an enthusiastic admirer. In the Gospels, Jesus never seemed too interested in fans. Is that how you define your relationship with Him? An "enthusiastic admirer"? Close enough to Jesus to get the benefits but not so close to require sacrifice? He was looking for followers. Not just any follower though, but a... COMPLETELY. COMMITTED. FOLLOWER. How would things change if you lived as Jesus lived & loved the way He loved?
This group is led by Rod Mohr at SCC on Sundays @ 6:30pm.
