Small groups are committed to creating a conversational environment where people can explore faith, build friendships & have fun as we pursue our mission to love God, love one another & serve the world. Small groups provide a network of support & care that helps us faithfully follow Jesus as we point our family, friends, neighbors & co-workers to Jesus.

We encourage every attendee & member at SCC to get connected to others through our small group ministry. Please stop by the Connections Bar to find out more about small groups, or find answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs) below.

Fall Small Groups

Monday Groups

Basketball Outreach: If you love playing basketball, join us here at the church on Monday nights starting in November. We have a great time hooping it up on the court & spending halftime drawing inspiration from the testimonies of great athletes & coaches who are followers of Jesus. This is also a great place to invite friends, family & co-workers who don’t know Jesus & need to experience the love of God’s family while having some good old-fashioned fun!

This group is led by Jordan Caldwell at SCC on Mondays @ 7:00pm beginning in November. For more info, email Jordan at jordan@caldwells-inc.com.

Tuesday Groups

This group is led by Brad & Jackie Davis at the Piersalls’ house (222 E. 425 North Shelbyville, IN 46176) on Tuesdays @ 6:30pm.

Organized Chaos [A Group for Moms]: Join us for a night where moms get the chance to connect & support one another. Our vision is to grow together as parents & to be the solid voices that each of us needs speaking into our lives every week. No matter where you are in your walk with Jesus, we’d love to have you be a part of our organized chaos!

This group is led by Ashley Adams & Amanda Catt at SCC on Tuesdays @ 6:30pm during ROOTS.

ROOTS: ROOTS is a program designed for K-5th graders to help them grow deeper in their faith. Currently we use the Action Bible curriculum, going straight through scripture. ROOTS starts meets on Tuesday evenings here at SCC from 6:30-8:00PM.

The Middle: We have a team of adults & high school students who think that middle school kids are the coolest kids on earth! Our team loves to spend time with middle schoolers, laugh, create new adventures & point them to Jesus every chance we can. Sunday Groups

Not a Fan (Men’s Group): Fan: an enthusiastic admirer. In the Gospels, Jesus never seemed too interested in fans. Is that how you define your relationship with Him? An "enthusiastic admirer"? Close enough to Jesus to get the benefits but not so close to require sacrifice? He was looking for followers. Not just any follower though, but a... COMPLETELY. COMMITTED. FOLLOWER. How would things change if you lived as Jesus lived & loved the way He loved?

This group is led by Rod Mohr at SCC on Sundays @ 6:30pm.

Senior High: When we talk about following Jesus by Loving God, Loving Others & Serving the World, high school students can do those things like no one else! We invite all students in 9th-12th grade to hang out with us at Senior High here at SCC on Sundays @ 6:30pm.

For more info on our high school ministry, email Heather Quiroz (Pastor of Student Ministries) at heather@shelbychurch.org or visit www.shelbychurch.org/students.
