I grew up in Huntington, West Virginia, and came to Christ while I was a student at Marshall University, where I eventually graduated with a B.A. in Counseling and Rehabilitation. I met my wife, Jackie, at college, and we married in the summer of 1985 before moving to Dallas, Texas, to go to seminary. While in seminary, I worked with youth and college students at Pantego Bible Church in Arlington, Texas, and continued to serve there for a couple of years after my graduation from Dallas Theological Seminary with a Master’s Degree in Theology in 1991.
Jackie and I moved to Shelbyville, Indiana, in the fall of 1994 with our son, Aaron, to become the pastor of a small church that met in the Boys' Club, but had a big heart to reach the community. Along the way, we added two more children to our family, our son, Conner, and our daughter, Jamie. As our own family has grown, we’ve also seen God grow our church family in incredible ways, with hundreds of people having given their hearts and lives to Jesus.
I’m passionate about seeing families healed and changed as they offer themselves to Jesus and grow up into Him, and then partnering with them to make a difference in our world.
I love being outdoors, exercising, taking in a good movie, or eating out (Chinese or Italian) with my wife. I’m most grateful for Jesus and how he demonstrates His love for me every single day, and I’m continually astounded by the beauty of His voice, the integrity of His Word, and the depth of His love.
Pastor of outreach and care
I was born right here in Shelbyville, IN, and spent most of my life here. I accepted God's free gift of salvation when I was 17 yrs old. God then gave me a heart to help people understand what it means to truly become a child of God and that there's so much more that we can experience by developing a closer relationship with Him. I do that here at SCC through The small group ministry and through Christ's strength. I live with my husband, Brad, and enjoy spending time with our family and friends. I have been on staff since 2006 and served as the Children's Pastor and the Pastor of Small Groups before serving as the Pastor of Outreach and Care.

I grew up in Vermontville, MI on a small farm. I fell in love with music at an early age. I asked Jesus into my heart when I was 8 years old, but didn't own my faith until I was 16. My dream after High School was to travel the world and be a famous Singer/Songwriter, so I moved to Lansing, MI, and enrolled in college as a Vocal Music Major. However, after my first year in college I fell madly in love with my Creator. It was then that God called me to a life of using the talents and gifts He gave me for His glory, not my own. I then decided to learn as much about the Bible as I could. I graduated from Great Lakes Christian College with a degree in Biblical Theology and Interpersonal/Organizational Communication. I married my beautiful wife, Pam, in 2010. She's such a great gal, and I really hope you get to meet her when you come worship with us!
I'm passionate about seeing the local Church embrace a lifestyle of worship and people entering into personal relationships with Jesus. I'm also passionate about seeing people use their talents to serve the Church and point others towards Christ. I consider it an honor and a privilege to be a part of what God is doing here at SCC. If you visit us for the first time, introduce yourself! I'd love to meet you!

Hope, IN was my hometown growing up. I lived there from the time I was born until I turned 19, and moved to Indianapolis to attend IUPUI. I met my husband Chris in High School when we were in the 8th and 9th Grade. After High School we got married. Chris and I have been married for over 8 wonderful years. We moved to Needham, just North West of Shelbyville, to a small little country house with a big red barn in 2014. I love horses and being outside!
Growing up, my parents always took me to church, and I made the decision to have Jesus as my savior and friend for life when I was 6 years old. I was lucky growing up that I had amazing teachers that would take their Sunday mornings to come and teach me about our amazing creator! I made the decision to serve God through Children’s Ministry in 2011 full time. I started working here at SCC in August of 2015, and Chris and I absolutely love this church! I am passionate about teaching kids about Jesus in fun and exciting ways, and partnering with parents through their journey of raising their children. I feel so blessed that I get to do what I am passionate about every day!

I was born in Janesville, WI, and moved to Kenosha, WI, when I was eight. Jesus saved me when I was 16 through a mission trip to Toronto, Canada. After high school, I struggled to figure out what I was supposed to do with my life, but it became evident that I had been called into ministry. I attended various colleges for graphic design, computer networking, and camping ministry. In 2009, I graduated from Trinity International University with a degree in Biblical Studies.
I married my wife, Taylor, in 2009 and together we moved to White Lake, WI, where I was the Program/Creative Arts Director at Silver Birch Ranch, a camp and conference center. I joined the staff at SCC in September of 2013.
